We want to give the children in our care the best possible start, we are committed to teaching them the importance of good food and healthy habits.

We take children’s nutrition and mealtimes seriously. Together with our qualified Chef Claudia, we provide tasty, nutritious and balanced meals, cooked fresh every day.
Our menus are on a five week rota and are reviewed every term. In addition to this, we:

  • Cook, grow and eat fresh, healthy and sustainable food

  • Develop good social skills, and promote healthy habits around sharing mealtimes together, setting the children up for life

Naturally, all staff responsible for preparing food have completed food hygiene training, and we follow the Children’s Food Trust guidelines when preparing meals and snacks. Fresh drinking water is made available to children and babies at all times, and dietary and allergy needs are fully respected.

We cater for all dietary and religious requirements including that of Halal meat for children of the Islamic faith. We also provide vegan and plant based food.

We're delighted to announce that we are working towards the Soil Association's Food for Life Early Years award.

The award requires early years settings to demonstrate that they are providing tasty, nutritious meals in an environment that encourages good social skills and healthy choices. The Food for Life Award is helping to focus our efforts to support the development of good food habits for life through practical cooking and growing activities and food-based learning - both for children and their parents and carers.
